This book of poems is a compilation of some of the impactful memories of people, places and events while travelling to Congo. The photography and paintings are creative outlets that help to reflect the feelings and emotions of the author’s time spent in Congo. We are what we see and do and a reciprocal relationship is formed between the two. This relationship affects us and we it. Both are changed from what they once were. This book is a reflection of how after visits to Congo, the author’s eyes observe, heart beats, and mind discerns with a divergent newness.
